Can a donor aggregate gifts to earn matching grant?

A donor to our organization has offered to match gifts from other donors. Is there anything to preclude another donor from obtaining a matching grant from his employer and asking the first donor to match both gifts?

There is nothing inherently wrong with the idea of getting the employer’s match to meet a challenge from another donor.  The donor offering the match can presumably set the general parameters of the arrangement, but it seems appropriate to match new money from both sources.
