Protecting Children From Abuse and Minimizing Risk for Your Nonprofit (Webinar) (Thursday, August 15, 2013 1:30-3:00 PM Eastern Time)

Just as September 11th forever changed how our country views homeland security, so too has the Sandusky scandal in Pennsylvania altered the way we view the protection of children.  Members of the public spent little time debating Sandusky’s guilt or innocence, rather they focused on what they would have done and what others should have done to better protect the children.  Nonprofit entities around the country have scurried to review their policies on reporting suspected child abuse and their processes related to hiring and educating staff, volunteers and members of their governing boards. Inaction due to ignorance is no longer an accepted response; this is clearly a risk management issue that should be on the radar of every nonprofit. Learn More
