Coordinator’s termination not retaliatory
An employee responsible for supervision of group homes for the Volunteers of America in Alabama has suffered summary judgment throwing out her claim of retaliatory action for allegedly protesting racial discrimination in other employment decisions. The employee who had worked for VOA for 23 years was terminated in May 2009 for unprofessional communication with staff and unfair treatment of staff. The agency had received several complaints from other employees about poor management skills, interference with work of her subordinates and intimidation.
