Thrift Shop entitled to real estate exemption

The Michigan Court of Appeals has granted real estate tax exemption to a thrift shop that sells donated merchandise and gives the net profits to the Kalamazoo Christian School Association.  The City had argued that it failed to offer its charity on a nondiscriminatory basis because it provided the proceeds only to the Association.
